PURPOSE: To provide a body structure of high strength by disposing plates, forming core material, in the longitudinal direction of a rolling stock body structure constituted of laminated panels with the core material disposed between two sheets of surface material and with connecting members disposed at the edge parts of the surface material between two sheets of surface material. CONSTITUTION: In a rolling stock body structure, a side body structure 20, an underframe including a side beam 31, a roof body structure 40, and the like are individually manufactured and jointed to one another. Outside plate members 60 of laminated structure in the side body structure 20 or the like are combined and jointed, and the vehicle longitudinal and lateral direction dimensions of the individual outside plate members 60 are to be the plurally divided length and width of each body structure divided in the vehicle longitudinal and lateral directions. Each outside plate member 60 is constituted of surface material 61, 62, core material 63 installed between the surface material 61, 62 strength members 64, reinforcing members 65, and connecting members 66 disposed at the peripheral edge. In the case of the core material 63 being a honeycomb core, the L-direction 67 of the honeycomb core is orthogonal to the strength members 64. |
