<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the weight of golf club shaft consisting of fiber reinforced plastic and to realize the directivity adequate for a high-average golfer having relatively high physical strength by providing the golf club with a torsional rigidity distribution satisfying a relation regulated in the torsional rigidity thereof and the distance from a chip end by a specific equation. CONSTITUTION: This shaft for the golf club is the shaft for the golf club consisting of the fiber reinforced plastic and has the torsional rigidity distribution satisfying the relation regulated in the torsional rigidity GI (X10<6> kgf.mm<2> ) of the shaft and the distance X from the chip end by the equation I. Consequently, the torsion of the shaft is effectively suppressed for the golfer having a head speed of about 45 to 55m/s. The torsion of the shaft near the head mounting part is, therefore, suppressed to a lower level for the high-average golfer of a relatively high head speed at the moment of impact when a ball is hit by the golf club using the shaft for the golf club, by which the directivity is stabilized.</p> |
