PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operation by a single person by arranging a barrel with a capacity thereof below a specified value and a inner diameter below a specified dimension to reduce the size, weight, working force and internal flexibility of a catheter apparatus. SOLUTION: This balloon type catheter apparatus 20 is provided with a balloon type catheter 43 having an inflation type balloon 22 which is connected to the tip of a shaft 21 having a base end, a tip and an inflation lumen 31 extending as piercing and communicates with the inflation lumen 31 through a fluid and a manifold 23 which is linked to the base end of the shaft 21 and has a prep port communicating with the inflation lumen 31 through a fluid. It is also equipped with a plunger 26 which is linked to the prep port and movably arranged in a barrel 25 communicating with the inflation lumen 31 through the fluid and an inflation device which has a link port arranged in the expansion device linked to the manifold 23 of the catheter 43. The barrel 25 has an internal capacity below 5 cc and an inner diameter below 6.35 mm. |
