PURPOSE: To inexpensively produce an electrogalvanized steel sheet exhibiting a remarkably high end face corrosion resistance after coating and good bare corrosion resistance with a single plating layer and also excellent in coating suitability, press formability, spot weldability and low-temp. impact stripping resistance. CONSTITUTION: A zinc alloy-plated film, wherein one or >=2 kinds among Co, Ni and Cr are Co-deposited by 0.01-10wt.% in total, at 5.0-200g/m<2> coating amt. is formed on the surface of a steel sheet by the electroplating using a plating bath added with 0.01-10wt.% dextrin and/or dextran. The orientation index of the (00.2) face of theηphase of the plating film is controlled to <=0.8, and the film has the orientational property of theηphase with the orientation index of the (10.1) face controlled to >=0.2.
