<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of the transfer of paper sheets in a superposed state and ensure the proper feed thereof, when the paper sheets are separated and delivered one by one from a bundle of many sheets stacked on the paper sheet feed tray of a paper feeding device. CONSTITUTION: This device has a paper sheet feed tray 1 allowing a plurality of paper sheets D to be stacked thereon, a feed roller 2 for delivering the sheets D from the tray 1, a separation member 3 for separating and feeding the sheets D one by one in such a state as kept in contact with the external surface of the roller 2 under pressure, and a stiff member 18 fixed near the feeding upstream side of the member 3 in such a state as coming in contact with the leading ends of the sheets D moving from the tray 1 to the roller 2.</p> |
