PURPOSE: To reduce the cavity of a smoothing capacitor provided between a converter and an inverter by restraining the fluctuation in voltage of the capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A converter input power computation device 21 computes the input power pattern PCNV of a converter 3 from the speed command value ω1* of an A.C. motor 6 and a load W in a cage, and a converter input power command PCNV* where the lag time of a converter control system is compensated is prepared from the computed power pattern PCNV and is outputted to a converter controller 20. The converter controller 20 conducts converter control utilizing the inputted power command PCNV* to reduce the fluctuation in voltage of a smoothing capacitor 4 and minimize its capacity. |
