DERMAL PREPARATION FOR EXTERNAL USE

PURPOSE: To obtain a dermal preparation for external use, containing a surface- active substance produced from a microorganism of the genus Pseudomonas, having excellent surface-active functions and high humectant effects, excellent in safety and good in feeling of use. CONSTITUTION: This dermal preparation for external use contains a surface-active substance prepared by culturing a strain (e.g. Pseudomonas putida IFO No. 12996), belonging to the genus Pseudomonas and capable of producing the surface-active substance and extracting the resultant culture solution or the microbial cell with water or a solvent. A humectant substance is also produced from the strain belonging to the genus Pseudomonas. The surface-active substance produced by the microorganism of the genus has strong actions on emulsification of various oils and can be converted into a product, excellent in biodegradability and safety and having a good feeling by use thereof as the dermal preparation for external use and high skin conditioning effects.
