PURPOSE: To obtain a cement additive for imparting a cement composition with excellent fluidity and giving a hardened material having excellent mechanical strength even by curing in air by compounding a water-soluble epoxy compound, a specific water-reducing agent for concrete and an epoxy resin hardener. CONSTITUTION: This cement additive is composed of preferably 10-80wt.% of a water-soluble epoxy compound (e.g. glycerol diglycidyl ether), preferably 2-70wt.% of a melamine-based or phenolic water-reducing agent for concrete (e.g. methylol melamine) and preferably 2-50wt.% of an epoxy resin hardener (e.g. ethylenediamine) (total of the above three compounds is 100wt.%). A cement hardening composition is produced by adding 0.5-30 pts.wt. of the cement additive to 100 pts.wt. of cement. |
