SUSPENSION COMPOSITION FOR ABRASIVE CLEANING AND CLEANING OF GLASS SURFACE

PURPOSE: To obtain a suspension composition containing an abrasive cleaning agent which can remove hard stains from the surface of glass without scratching the surface and to provide a method for washing the surface of glass with this composition. CONSTITUTION: This composition is the one having a mean particle diameter of abrasive cleaning agent particles of 1μm or below and containing 10-50wt.% alumina particles constituting the abrasive cleaning agent particles. The composition is infiltrated into a pile fabric woven so that loops of the yarn forming piles may protrude beyond the surface of the fabric, and the stained surface of glass is abrasively cleaned with the fabric. Abrasive cleaning agent particles having a relatively large particle diameter quickly remove most of the stains from the surface of glass in the initial stage of abrasive cleaning, and highly hardα-alumina crystal particles having a mean particle diameter of 1μm or below and formed when the abrasive cleaning particles are disintegrated in the former stage can remove the remaining stains from the surface without fail and without scratching the surface in the subsequent stage.
