PURPOSE: To deodorize sludge by using 1,3,5-tris(β-oxyethyl)-hexahydrotriazine for the main component of a sludge deodorant and only adding and spraying the sludge deodorant. CONSTITUTION: Organic sludge generated from sewage or the like is dewatered and treated by adding e.g. a polymer flocculant. Dewatered and treated cake is disposed by incineration and landfill. By the way, when dissolved oxygen in sludge lacks, organic sludge starts putrefaction and malodorous gas is generated and environmental and sanitary troubles are caused. The main component of a sludge deodorant is liquid and the sludge deodorant is ordinarily used as it is but may be used by diluting it. Usage is regulated to about 200-800ppm for sludge but suitably increased or decreased by the concentration of generated odor. Continuative properties of deodorizing effect are high and the whole dewatering treatment facility of sludge is deodorized by only adding and spraying the sludge deodorant to sludge and environment is improved.
