PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dyed or printed material having light hue with high fastness to light and chlorine by dyeing or printing a material containing hydroxyl and/or carboxamide groups with a specific azo reactive dye. SOLUTION: A material containing hydroxyl and/or carboxamide groups is dyed or printed with an azo reactive dye of formula [groups SO2 X and SO2 X<1> and the 2nd sulfo group in aminonaphthol-disulfonic acid group are each present in the 3- or 4-position; X and X<1> are each independently CH=CH2 or CH2 CH2 Z (Z is a substituent eliminable under dyeing condition)]. The dye may be isolated in the form of an alkali metal salt, especially Na salt and used for the dyeing and printing work.
