PURPOSE: To automatically-adjust sound volume to a level where interior announcement can be heard even if passengers in a cage are in panic condition at the time of emergency. CONSTITUTION: In this audio guide device for elevator, a highly directional microphone 2 picks up sound in an elevator cage 1, and the noise level of the sound in a normal case where a noise level measuring device 5 measures is stored into a noise level memory 10 for normal case. In an emergency case, the highly directional microphone 2 picks up sound, and a noise level in an emergency case which the noise level measuring device 5 measures is compared with the noise level in a normal case by a central processing unit 9. Based on the comparative result, a request that large sound volume should be outputted when the noise level in an emergency case exceeds the noise level in a normal case is indicated to a speech synthesis device 8 to announce a voice guide in large sound volume through a speaker 3. |
