PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sterilizable liquid-repellant material keeping the liquid repelling property even after the sterilization treatment with oxidation plasma and useful for the packaging material of medical goods, etc., by treating a gas-permeable material with a liquid-repellant silicone surface-treating agent. SOLUTION: A gas-permeable material such as a nonwoven fabric is treated with a liquid-repellant silicone surface-treating agent containing a sufficient amount of silicone. The treatment is preferably carried out by immersing the gaspermeable material in an emulsion containing the liquid-repellant silicone surface-treating agent (the concentration of silicone is preferably 0.50-4.0 wt.%).
