PURPOSE: To obtain a laser beam machine capable of machining a large diameter by machining while rotating the long axial direction of an oblong beam spot. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam emitted divergently from the tip 1 of a fiber becomes a parallel light flux through a collimator lens 2, advancing straight to be converged by a cylindrical lens 3, and is made incident to a cylindrical lens 4. The cylindrical lens 4 is arranged so that the center axis of its cylindrical surface may be nearly orthogonal to the center axis of the cylindrical lens 3; and in the case where one cylindrical lens makes the laser beam focused on an object while the other lens does not, the beam spot becomes an oblong shape. The rotation of a motor 9 drives a belt 12, rotating a pulley 11, which in turn rotates a lower lens barrel 6 and cylindrical lenses 3, 4. Consequently, the long axial direction of the beam spot rotates on the object to be machined. |
