FIELD: electric precipitation of metals from solutions. SUBSTANCE: method is designed for extraction of metals by electrolysis, predominantly, from delute solutions of sewage of industrial enterprises, mine waters, technological solutions. Method includes electric precipitation of metals on volumetric cathode with periodic feed of starting solution into volumetric cathode by portions which value amounts to 10-60% of free volume of cathode. Periodicity of feed is determined from relation: N = (1.05-1.15).1.E/(C.V), where N is number of portions per hour; 1 is current strength, A; E is electrochemical equivalent of extracted metal, g/(A.h); C is concentration of extracted metal in starting solution, g/1; V is volume of portion, 1; 1.05-1.15 is empirical coefficient of excess of current. EFFECT: increased efficiency of extraction of metals from solutions thanks to more uniform leakage of solution through checker of cathode. |
