PURPOSE: To provide an optical cable connection part capable of easily and spirally winding an optical fiber connection excess length around a cylindrical body while holding a required radius of curvature of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: In the optical cable connection part constituted of spirally winding the optical fiber connection excess length 2 of an optical cable 1 around the cylindrical body 11, this connection part is the optical cable connection part provided with a projection 12 at intervals of that l1 , l2 are satisfied with the following relation when the interval in the longitudinal direction on the cylindrical body 11 is defined the l1 , the interval in the radial direction is the l2 . 2π√(R(r-R))×(n2 /n1 )<=l1 <=4π√-(R(r-R))×(n2 /n1 ), l2 =2πR(n2 /n1 ). Where, R shows the radius of the cylindrical body, r the radius of curvature of the optical fiber, n. the number of optical fiber core wires of excess length, n the number of optical fiber core wires passing through between the projections. |
