PURPOSE: To efficiently perform the managing processing of graphic information by retrieving graphic data based on designated graphic attribute information and outputting the retrieved graphic data. CONSTITUTION: An external storage device 9 is driven by a disk control part 8 and document preservation into a floppy disk FD 9a or a hard disk HD 9b or document calling is performed. In the external storage device 9, either the FD 9a or the HD 9b stores a table allocating a specific code for identifying the graphic attribute information to be used for the information and a table defining that specific code and the graphic data while making them correspondent. When any desired radical information is instructed by a key input operation from a keyboard 5 in this case, based on the instructed radical information, required character data are retrieved from the table and specified. Then, the specified character data are outputted. |
