PURPOSE: To provide a color image forming device capable of obtaining a color image in a special mode such as a monochromatic mode and a two color mode besides a normal color mode by using each toner of Y, M, C and K during one rotation of a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION: Plural groups of units in which an electrifier 11, an image exposure device 12 and a developing unit 13 are arranged in order are disposed in series along the moving path of an image forming body. The color image forming device is provided with a color mode for operating all plural groups of units for electrification, an image exposure and reversal development, to superimpose color toner images and then, transfer them and the special mode for using a specific unit to attain the electrification, the image exposure and the reversal development, forming a monochromatic toner image or plural color toner image and then, transferring it and constituted so that when the developing unit used in the special mode is in midstream, at least the electrifier in the most upstream side among the electrifiers on the upstream side is operated and at least the electrifier on the immediate downstream side among the electrifiers on the downstream side is operated. |
