PURPOSE: To prevent the overcurrent of a brushless motor and reduce its power consumption, by performing chipping during a predetermined time with respect to the switching elements in the arms of its armature-winding currents being switched, among the switching elements in the upper and lower arms constituting its inverter means. CONSTITUTION: For the drive of a brushless motor 3, an inverter 4 is provided wherein switching elements U, V, W and X, Y, Z in its upper and lower arms are connected with each other bridge-wise. A control circuit 10 does not performs chipping during a predetermined time with respect to the switching elements in the arms of the armature-winding current of the motor 3 being switched or not, among the switching elements U, V, W and X, Y, Z in the upper and lower arms. Thereby, the overcurrent of the motor 3 is prevented, and hence, its power consumption can be reduced. |
