PURPOSE: To provide a storage management device which can detect whether the data to be read out may possibly be written in a wrong address or not by providing the specified block management part, data management flag, invalidity setting part and parity error setting part respectively. CONSTITUTION: A block management part 4 manages the data stored in a storage device 1 in every block having a prescribed data length. A data management flag 8 is held as to whether the stored data are valid or invalid based on the presence or absence of an address parity error that is decided when the data stored in the block are written. When a parity error is detected while the data are written, an invalidity setting part 10 invalidates all flags 8. A parity error setting part 9 sets the parity of the data which are read out of the storage 1 as an error as long as the flag 8 is invalidated in the block where the read data are stored. |
