PURPOSE: To provide a lighting system in which a specific illuminating lamp can be extinguished without hindrance even when electric power is fed into the illuminating lamp of a showcase by a current transformer inserted into an electric wire in which a high-frequency current flows. CONSTITUTION: This lighting system is provided with an inverter 11 for generating a high-frequency current, an annular electric wire 12 in which the output current of the inverter 11 flows and a plurality of current transformers 13A..., 13B inserted into the electric wire 12. Electromotive force generated by the current transformers 13A..., 13B is respectively supplied to each illuminating lamp 4A. An extinguishing switch for short-circuiting the range 12A of the electric wire 12 is provided, and a load having nearly same capacity as the impedance of the short-circuited range 12A is series-connected in the extinguishing switch. |
