PURPOSE: To provide an aluminum fin material for a heat exchanger in which the generation of dust odor is suppressed and which has excellent hydrophilic property and corrosion resistance. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum fin material for a heat exchanger comprises an aluminum plate material, a chromate film formed on the surface of the material, an an alumina sol film coating as a second layer the chromate film to be baked and having a thickness of 0.1 to 2μm. Further, the material comprises a mixed film of polyethyleneglycol and carboxymethylcellulose formed in thickness of 2μm or less on the sol film and having a molecular weight of 20000 or more.
