PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a soln. of a rhodium-tert. org. phosphorus compd. complex from an aq. soln. of a low-cost water-soluble rhodium compd. by bringing the aq. soln. into contact with a soln. of a water-insoluble tert. org. phosphorus compd. in an org. solvent in an atmosphere of a CO-contg. gas, carrying out two-phase separation and recovering the org. solvent phase. SOLUTION: An inorg. acid or org. acid salt or a complex salt of rhodium may be used as the water-soluble rhodium compd. A rhodium-contg. aq. soln. recovered from a reactive soln. after hydroformylation, hydrogenation, carbonylation or other reaction using the resultant complex soln. as a catalyst may be used as the rhodium compd. When 2-8C carboxylic acid is allowed to exist at the time of the contact, the rate of recovery can be increased. |
