JOINING METHOD OF OPTICAL ISOLATOR PARTS AND OPTICAL ISOLATOR

PURPOSE: To provide a method to join optical parts such as a polarizer and analyzer with metal holders without decreasing performances of the optical parts. CONSTITUTION: In this optical isolator, a magnet 2 is disposed in a cylinder 2 and a Faraday rotator 3 is disposed at the center of the magnet 2. Metal holders 4 are fixed to the both open ends of the cylinder 1. A polarizer 5 is held in the metal holder 4 in the incident side of light, while an analyzer 6 is held in the metal holder 4 in the exit side. The metal holders 4 are joined with the polarizer 5 or analyzer 6 with solder 7 of >=10μm thickness.
