PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject drinking water capable of producing chicken eggs of good quality, having a low cholesterol content and utility of improving the absorption of useful ingredients in a marine product, enhancing both the pancreatic lipase activities and the actions of insulin at a low cost. SOLUTION: This drinking water is obtained by carrying out the filtration treatment of raw material water for drinking through a bamboo charcoal bed. It is recognized that the species of the bamboo which is the raw material for the bamboo charcoal is not especially limited from the viewpoint of the utility of the drinking water, etc. A readily available bamboo can be utilized from the bamboo produced in Japan or an imported bamboo such as Phyllostachys bambusoides Sieb. et Zucc., Phyllostachys nigra Munro var. henosis Stapf, Phyllostachys pubescens Mazel, Phyllostachys nigra Munro and Pleiblastus simonii Nakai. The shape of the bamboo charcoal can be utilized as the thickness of the raw material bamboo, a rodlike shape prepared by splitting the raw material bamboo into a suitable number, etc., or a form of small lumps, granules or powder obtained by crushing thereof when used for producing the drinking water. A granule or powder of the bamboo charcoal can be utilized as a mixed feed. |
