The noise barrier panel includes plates (10) and edge supports (11) that are made in a metal, a glass-resin composite or a rigid plastic. The tubes may be filled with air under pressure or at normal pressure and the elastomer may be rubber. The structure is placed between a support surface on the vessel and a hard reflective layer of the same curvature, lying under the sensor element. Additionally, the supports for the same plate may be fixed by struts (14) lying between them while two end plates (15) with associated joints (16) to ensure a seal. The struts may be strengthened by a broader central section to prevent collapse under excessive pressure.
