INTER-NETWORK REPEATING INSTALLATION

摘要

PURPOSE: To reduce the load on a microprocessor by using hardware excluding the microprocessor to secure a history storing function for the frame information. CONSTITUTION: In the inter-network repeating installation having plural communication ports 11, the data frames are relayed among plural networks by a repeater control part 12, an ethernet control part 13 and a microprocessor 14 via the ports 11, and an image memory 15 including a serial memory part 15a and a dynamic memory part 15b is adopted as a data buffer and controlled by an independent image memory control part 16. The information on the received frames are successively written in the part 15a. When the normal reception of frames are finished, the frame information stored in the part 15a are transferred to the storage areas of the part 15b which are allocated in response to the ports 11. Then these frame information are stored as the history information.
