PURPOSE: To prevent a developer from leaking to the outside in the longitudinal direction of a magnetic sealing member along a developer carrier by forming dense magnetic brushes of the magnetic developer between the developer carrier and the magnetic sealing member and between a magnetic member and a magnet. CONSTITUTION: End magnetic seals 10 are disposed on both ends of a developing sleeve 2 so that the end magnetic sealing members 10 are magnetized by the magnetic force from a magnet roller 3 inside of the developing sleeve 2. Thereby, a magnetic circuit is formed between the magnetic roller 3 and the end magnetic sealing member 10 and a magnetic field is concentrated to the magnetic roller 3 side of the end magnetic sealing member 10. Therefore, a dense magnetic brush of a magnetic toner is formed between the end magnetic sealing member 10 and the developing sleeve 2. Further, by disposing magnetic members 11 on both ends of an elastic blade 4 and disposing magnets 12 to face the magnetic members 11, a magnetic field is concentrated between the magnet 12 and the member 11 and a dense magnetic brush of the magnetic toner is formed between these. |
