PURPOSE: To attain 1:1 communication with broadcast communication by arranging a specific optical distributer between an optical communication equipment and all other optical communication equipments so as to secure secrecy of personal information. CONSTITUTION: An optical communication equipment 10 is made up of a semiconductor laser 11 oscillated by a TE linearly polarized wave, an external modulator 12 modulating its output light, a semiconductor laser 13 oscillated by a TM linearly polarized wave, an external modulator 14 modulating its output light and a polarized wave splitter 15 synthesizing the TE linearly polarized wave light and the TM linearly polarized wave light. Furthermore, an optical communication equipment 20 (30) is made up of a function element such as a polarized wave splitter 21 (31) selecting the TE linearly polarized wave light or the TM linearly polarized wave light and a light receiver 22 (32). Then an optical distributer 40 is arranged among optical communication equipments 10, 20, 30 and acts like an optical coupler or an optical star coupler of n×m (n>1, m>2) to the TE linearly polarized wave light or the TM linearly polarized wave light and acts like an n×m optical switch to the other. |
