PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for minimizing the adverse influence of a crown to be given to the flying height of a slider by the change of a manufacturing process or temperature and an improved slider shape. SOLUTION: The method for reducing the change of a flying height by a crown has the step of moving the top of the crown toward the front end 28 of a slider. The movement of the top 53 of the slider having a symmetrical crown is conducted by fixing the suspension to the connecting surface 23 of the slider near the front end. The connecting process applies the moving fore to the slider to effectively move it. Another method shapes the row of the slider by sand or bead blast finishing before a rail shape is formed.
