PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately apply phosphor paste onto an electrode of a panel base board by impressing voltage between a control electrode arranged in an opening possessing housing part opposed onto the electrode of the base board and the electrode of the panel base board, and applying phosphor paste in the housing part onto the electrode of the panel base board through an opening. SOLUTION: A void is arranged between a paste supply part 2 and an insulating layer 24 formed on an address electrode A. Here, when an electric field is impressed between an electrode plate 52 and a desired address electrode A, a line of electric force is generated in a bottom part between partition walls 26 from the tip of a slit part of the paste supply part 2, and therefore, electric charge is induced or implanted in phosphor paste 54 exposed to the slit part, and the phosphor paste of its part protrudes. When the tip of a protrusion of the phosphor paste 54 contacts with the bottom part between the partition walls, the phosphor paste 54 is filled so as to flow in a groove between the partition walls 26 by wetting. |
