A modified polyester-polyurethane resin is prepd. by reacting (1) a 1st component contg. (A) a polyisocyanate with functionality 2-3 and (B) a peroxide able to initiate free radical polymerisation, in proportion such that (B) /(A) + (B) is 0.5-4 wt.%, and (2) a 2nd component contg. (a) a polyester polyol obtd. from an ethylenically unsatd. diacid or anhydride and a polyhydric alcohol, in molar ratio of alcohol:acid of 1.3-2.0, (b) an ethylenically unsatd. monomer in proportion such that (b)/(a) + (b) is 10-50%, (c) 0-4%, w.r.t. the 2nd component, of a promoter of decomposition of the peroxide initiator at 20 deg.C, (d) 0-4% w.r.t. the 2nd component, of a catalyst for the isocyanate-alcohol reaction, and (e) an hydroxylated (alk)acrylate in proportion such that (e)/(a) + (e) is 0.1-35%. The molar ratio of NCO gps. in (1): the sum of OH gps. in (a) and (e) is 0.7-1.1.
