PURPOSE: To suppress the recovery of a wrong document file by confirming the check sum data added to the document data when a deleted document file is recovered and recovering the document file only when the check sum data are correct. CONSTITUTION: The document file compiling method consists of a document preparing device 1, an input device 2, a display device 3 and an external storage 4. The device 1 includes a document file register part 5, a document file deletion part 6 and a document file recovery part 7. The part 5 includes a check sum addition means 8, and the part 7 includes a check sum confirmation means 9. When a document is stored, the part 5 produces a check sum and adds the check sum data to the document data to store them. When a document file is deleted and then recovered by the part 7, the check sum data on the recovered file are confirmed, and the document file is recovered as long as the check sum data are correct. |
