PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently form an image, at the time of executing a normal operation and to efficiently recover residual toner, when a failure in operation such as the jamming of a paper sheet occurs, in an image forming device using a cleanerless system for recovering the toner remaining on an image carrier, after a transfer is performed, in a developing process. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the image carrier 1, an electrifying member 2 coming into contact with the image carrier, to electrify it, an exposure means 7 for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image carrier, a developing means 3 for turning the electrostatic latent image into a toner image, a transfer member 4 coming into contact with the image carrier with a difference in circumferential speed, to transfer the toner image to a transfer material, a voltage applying means 5 for applying a fixed voltage to the electrifying member, the developing means and the transfer means, a control means 6 for controlling the voltage applying means and a means for fixing the toner image. In such a case, the control means 6 has plural sequences 6a-6c for controlling the voltage applying means 5 and selects the plural sequences, based on outputs from state detecting means 8a and 8b for detecting the state of an image forming process. |
