PURPOSE: To provide a receiver with which the same code is received and a message having contents different from a received message can be displayed. CONSTITUTION: When there is an incoming call, reception processing is performed (step P1) and when there are no message data (step P2), only the reception is reported (step P3). When there are message data, it is checked whether there is a routine sentence code or not (step P4). When there is no routine sentence code or when a flag showing the existence of a secret message is not raised although there is any routine sentence, ordinary message display or routine message display is performed (steps P4-P7) and a timer is operated. After the elapse of fixed time, the display is erased (steps P11 and P12). When the flag is raised, the routine sentence is displayed (step P8) and when a display switching key is depressed within the fixed time (step P9), the secret message is read out of a RAM and displayed on a display part. After the elapse of a certain time, the displayed contents are erased (steps P11 and P12). |
