<p>PURPOSE: To easily vary the moving speed of a cursor, etc., on a display screen. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with an elastic body 30 which is constituted of four deformation plates extended from a base part radially at intervals of 90 deg., four strain gauge resistance elements 20n, 20s, 20e, and 20w which are provided integrally with the four deformation plates and generate resistance values corresponding to deformation quantities, and an operation body 40 which is provided on the elastic body 30 so that it can slant to all directions and is used to operate the four deformation plates. The strain gauge resistance elements 20n and 20s, and 20e and 20w which are provided on the opposite paired plates constitute bridge circuits respectively. The bridge circuit output pointing signals based upon the tilt direction and tilt quantity of the operation body 40 by (x)-directional components and (y)-directional components.</p> |
