PURPOSE: To lessen the number of component items and lower the cost regarding a two-stage dial apparatus to be employed for a camera. CONSTITUTION: A first and a second dials 2, 3 are supported on bosses 11 formed unitedly with an external cover 1 in the way the dials can rotate on the same axis and at the same time an encoder substrate 4 in which two pairs of encoder patterns 8, 8' are formed in both upper and lower faces is fixed in the lower side of the external cover 1. Moreover, a first contact piece 13 which follows the first dial 2 and is brought into contact with and slid on the encoder pattern 8 is attached to the upper face of a dial pressing plate 5 attached to the lower end of an axial part 2' of the first dial 2. Further, a second contact piece 14 which is interlocked with the second dial 3 and brought into contact with and slid on the encoder pattern 8' is attached to the lower face of a projected part 3' formed in the lower part of the second dial 3. |
