PURPOSE: To eliminate an uneven space formed in a liquid crystal sealed cell of a bead dispersion type color liquid crystal display panel and to prevent white unevenness from occurring on the display of the panel by eliminating the difference of the level of bead spacers dispersed in the picture element area and the non-picture element area of a color filter used in such type of display panel. CONSTITUTION: A light shielding non-picture element area N is solidly formed as a light shielding pattern 20 so as to surround the pixel area I on a transparent base plate 11, and the pattern is formed so that the outermost end of a coloring layer 12 pattern-formed from the picture element area I to the end of the light shielding pattern 20 of the non-picture element area N may be somewhat overlapped on the end of the pattern 20, and a transparent overcoat layer 14 is formed evenly all over the surface. |
