<p>PURPOSE: To provide a submarine repeating installation including a coaxial submarine repeating installation, optical submarine repeating installation and the like which has a high moisture-proof reliability and is capable of reducing restoration work-hour when troubles occur. CONSTITUTION: A submarine repeating installation has a submarine repeating unit 1 with both openings of a cylindrical pressure vessel 6, which houses a repeating unit 5, and said openings are respectively sealed with end face plates 10; coupling portions 2 are connected to both the sides of the submarine repeating unit 1 for connecting a submarine cable 3 to the submarine repeating unit 1; and each end face plate has an airtight test hole 30 sealed by clogging means 40 at its opening at the side of coupling portion.</p> |
