PURPOSE: To increase durability by improving the surface of an epichlorohydrin rubber having medium resistance into a good nonadhesive state with a photosensitive body and a toner. CONSTITUTION: This electrifying roller has two layers comprising an elastic layer and a surface layer which covers the elastic layer. The elastic layer consists of epichlorohydrin rubber while the surface layer consists of a copolymer nylon resin which is soluble with alcohols and contains at least two kinds of nylon 6, nylon 6-6, nylon 6-10, nylon 11 and nylon 12. For example, by forming a copolymer nylon resin surface layer (having 8×10<13>Ω.cm resistance) containing nylon 12 to 2-10μm thickness on 2mm thick epichlorohydrin rubber (1.5×10<8>Ω.cm) elastic layer, an electrifying roller having excellent electrifying property, durability and electrification characteristics can be obtd.
