The fixing system for panelling consists of a frame made from upper and lower horizontal members (15), each with a projecting edge to engage with a corresponding channel (18, 18') cut in the back of each panel (10). Vertical side-pieces (14) with notches (22) engage with rails or bars (20) fixed to the wall (12). The channels in the back of the panel are open at one end only, and the horizontal members are fitted into them before joining to the side-pieces e.g. by welding or adhesive, being set an at angle of 45 degrees to the horizontal.
