PURPOSE: To make the amount of excess developer smaller than heretofore by using an elastic body in which the diameter of a hole on its surface is in a specified range as an elastic body. CONSTITUTION: As to a developing roller 25; a surface layer constituted of porous elastic body 33 in which the diameter of the fine hole is <=100μm, and desirably <=60μm is provided on a conductive core material 32. Excess liquid remains a lot in the case the diameter is large, so that the mark of the fine hole easily occurs. Furthermore, when the area of the fine hole formed on the surface of the porous elastic body is >=50%, sufficient absorption ability can be obtained. That is, the diameter on the elastic body 33 is less controlled than heretofore, and the distribution density of the fine hole is controlled, so that the remaining amount of the excess liquid remaining on the surface of a photoreceptor 20 can be reduced in comparison with conventional reverse roller method. Mesh and the mark having the shape of the fine hole are prevented from occurring on the surface of the photoreceptor. |
