PURPOSE: To provide a connection network which is large in scale and has both functions for self-routing and nonblocking. CONSTITUTION: In addition to routing functions for connecting input and output terminals, N pieces of 1st switches 10 have comparators which discriminate addresses added to data, and m<2> pieces of 2nd switches 20 have comparators which discriminate addresses added to input data in addition to routing functions for connecting-the input and output terminals. Further N pieces of 3rd switches 30 have at least functions for monitoring whether their output ports are in use or not and functions for generating and transmitting transmission acknowledgement signals as control signals in addition to routing functions for connecting the input and output terminals. An optional port among input ports is connected to an optional output port through a 1st switch, a 2nd switch, and a 3rd switch 30 in order. |
