FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard propulsion system making use of Magnus effect. SUBSTANCE: complex has Magnus rotors mounted symmetrically relative to CL whose axes of rotation are perpendicular to ship's BL. Innovation of invention consists in arranging the rotors in tunnels running from fore inlet holes to side outlet holes; rotors are shifted towards aft wall of tunnel and are received by recesses provided in aft wall; mounted on leading edge (in way of flow) formed by surface of recess and adjoining part of wall is plate-type interceptor in plane of this wall. EFFECT: creation of additional thrust for ship (at fuel saving) due to use of energy of incoming flow water. |
