摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide an image forming method free from the generation of a fine particle toner even if a developer is pressed hard and rubbed to a developer carrier, capable of forming an image having high image density and free from fogging without soiling the surface of a latent image carrier and the surface of the developer carrier and preventing the lowering of image density and soiling of background from occurring. CONSTITUTION: In the image forming method for developing a latent image on a latent image carrier by forming a thin layer from the developer containing substantially no magnetic body on the developer carrier with a press member and transporting the thin layer to a developing zone, a non-magnetic toner containing a binder resin, which consists of 1-30wt.% high polymer component having >=500000 molecular weight and having the peak values in the low molecular side and the high molecule side in a molecular weight distribution so that the peak value in high molecular side is >=500000 molecular weight, is used as the developer.</p>
