PURPOSE: To provide a charger for a secondary cell in which insufficient charge due to the erroneous operation at initial charging or the overcharging due to the recharging of the fully charged cell is prevented and which effectively charges without insufficient charge or overcharge. CONSTITUTION: The charger for a secondary cell comprises a voltage detector 15 for detecting the terminal voltage of the cell 21, a temperature detector 16 for detecting the temperature of the cell 21, and a charge controller 14 for stopping the charging current of the cell 21 at the time of detecting the peak point of the terminal voltage after the bent point of the temperature rise at the time of charging the cell 21 or the time of dropping the terminal voltage by a predetermined value from the time point or transferring to a trickle charging based on the outputs of the detectors 15, 16. |
