<p>PURPOSE: To update display to a desired picture with a simple operation by controlling the display position of a picture in the picture block of a block number in accordance with position information on the stored picture block. CONSTITUTION: An original picture is inputted from a picture input part 101 and is stored in a storage part 103. An area division part 106 analyzes the picture of the designated area of the original picture, divides an area and extracts a sentence and a drawing. A sequencing part 105 sequences indexes and text paragraphs in the area of the sentence which is previously divided by the mutual position relation of the respective areas. A block designation part 107 designates the character area picture block by using a keyboard or a pointing device. When the desired block is selected and it is displayed in an appropriate position on a display screen, the editing of cutting, copying and pasting is executed by using the keyboard or the pointing device against picture information of the block.</p> |
