PURPOSE: To provide a gas sensor hardly affected by vibrations, shocks, temperature changes, dew condensation water, and miscellaneous gases, having low power consumption, and easy to manufacture. CONSTITUTION: This gas sensor is constituted of a connecting terminal 1a made of a gas-nonpermeable insulator and airtightly sealed with multiple connecting pins 21, gas sensor elements 2a connected and bridged to the connecting pins 21 by wires 3, a lens barrel 7 supporting an adsorbent 6 of gases other than the gas to be measured at one end and having the shape to be coupled with the connecting terminal 1a at the other end, and an O-ring 10 for an airtight sealing material inserted into the gap formed when the lens barrel 7 is coupled with the connecting terminal 1a. A cushioning filler 8 made of ceramic fibers is inserted into the closed space formed with the lens barrel 7, connecting terminal 1a, and adsorbent 6 where the gas sensor elements 2a are installed in the bridged state. |
