PURPOSE: To cut off a power system from a power converter at a high speed by setting the AC-side voltage command value of the power converter to a value which promotes current interruption, when the power converter receives an operation detection signal of a circuit-breaker caused by the occurrence of malfunction of a power system. CONSTITUTION: When a power system 1 malfunctions, a current command value switch 12 is operated by a circuit-breaker operation detection signal from a circuit-breaker control circuit, and input to a current control circuit 7 is switched over to the output from a system-interruption-time current command generator circuit 11. And the current control circuit 7 outputs a voltage command which causes AC current to approach the current command value to a gate drive circuit 8. And a power converter 2 outputs a voltage for attenuating the current, and cooperating point current becomes zero. When it becomes zero, interruption operation of a circuit-breaker 3 finishes. Consequently, it becomes possible to cut off the power system 1 from the power converter 2 at a high speed. |
