Self-stripping connector block for multiple insulated wires

The connector block includes the moving part (3) that can slide in grooves in two sliders (14) so as to be rotated about the axis of the cam against an abutment on the cam (4) when in the high position. The piece is raised from the base (1) to allow the introduction or withdrawal of conductors from the channels (9) in a single action. The cam turns about an eccentric axis (10) on two supports (5) on the base so as to lower the moving part. The base carries fixed contacts (2) corresponding to each channel. Perpendicular to the channels are the slotted metal strips so that the insulation is cut when the wires are inserted and forced home against the strips so as to establish electrical contact.
